Sexy Children and Stupid Grown Ups

I may be painfully old fashioned, outdated with entirely obsolete tastes and habits, but my good sense is still very well anchored in the present. So could anyone please explain to me WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?

How perverted a human mind can be to reach the conclusion that the beautiful pure lips of a 10 year old girl might need a thick layer of red lipstick?

How could a ten year old girl be provocative, sexy, alluring and seductive? Why would anyone wish to associate a grown woman's characteristics to a child? Aside from pedophiles and child predators, who probably threw a party when the new issue of french Vogue magazine turned up in the stands.  Who decided that a 10 year old girl must trade the Barbie dolls and bedtime stories for low cut dresses, high heels, mascara and photo shooting sessions? What kind of parents would let that happen? And what kind of respectable magazine would consider putting on its cover such disturbing representations? I have to admit I used to be a huge Vogue admirer but I think they lost their compass. Even more frightful than that, is the fact that there are numerous people out there who applaud this and consider it an artful way of expression. So I can't help of wonder,have we totally lost it?

The little girl that appears on the cover of the french Vogue issue is Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau, the daughter of a famous french football player and a local Tv presenter.

 The fur rug, the high heels, the seductive pose...she's got it all.




 All I know for sure is that childhood is supposed to be about innocence, fairy tales, feeling safe and careless in grandma's house eating chocolate cookies and drinking hot cocoa. And there is nothing innocent about these pictures.
